For ten years, Maglyn’s Dream has had a presence in New Paltz, and has grown within the community. Last week, we were victims of a break-in. Under the cover of dark, a burglar stole cash and a computer from the business.
We are writing to publicly acknowledge and thank the New Paltz police department. It was the police department’s vigilance which initially discovered the break-in and alerted us.
The investigation at the scene that Wednesday night was thorough. Sgt. Lucchesi, the detective leading the investigation, was both professional and empathetic. The uniformed patrol officers on the scene are to be commended for their expertise and compassion.
Many businesses in town, including one of our neighbors in the Water Street Market, have been targeted by the same thief. We are sure we speak for all victimized business when we express our gratitude to the New Paltz Police Department; we are relieved at knowing the spree has been halted.

Looking for article on the lawyer that sued the VA for not notifying veterans about being able to collect monatery compensation. My wife’s uncle who lived in Marlboro was receiving VA care and i recently found out he was in Vietnam three time and has recently been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
